Former youth hostel at the foot of Helm Crag overlooking Grasmere village with bed and breakfast ensuite rooms and a spacious bunkhouse. The bar is open from 3.30pm and has a happy hour from 6-7pm with 15% discount on draught beers and real cider - perfect for a pint after an exhilarating fell walk. Home cooked meals 6.30-7.30pm and hot snacks until 9pm. Cats, ducks and rare breed sheep are kept so unfortunately no visiting dogs. Local ales and ciders at very competitve prices.
