Bowness Bay Brewery

The logo of the Bowness Bay Brewery The Bowness Bay brewery started in 2012 in a unit in the Winster Valley in the heart of the Lake District, using equipment originally used by the Northcote Brewery, Norwich.

The Brewery moved to Kendal in September 2014 with a main 14 barrel plant with up to three brews a days. They still have the original 5 barrel plant and also have a 2.5 barrel test plant.

A new Brewery tap called the Barrel Store has now opened in the Castle Mills complex opposite the brewery.

In August 2019, Bowness Bay aquired the Appleby Brewery and Windmill Brewery of Standish brands, details at https://www.in-cumbria.com/news/17825171.bowness-bay-brewery-acquires-windmill-brewery-appleby-brewery/.
