A basic old town pub beside the Parish Church near the river Kent that is appreciated for nurturing its beer-loving community of regulars and tourists. Something of a time warp, visitors enjoy the real fire while engaging with local characters and their dogs. Two well-kept Cumbrian beers - one changing regularly, sometimes a third. Usually an interesting BiB cider or perry. Home-made food most days and sandwiches for functions, ladies darts and meetings. Sunday live music and popular monthly bingo.

A true local on every level - the little pub with the big heart!
