A 17th century inn on a scenic route between Kendal and Lake Windermere. This pub consistently maintains high quality beer and meals in three separate areas. The main bar retains a traditional atmosphere with another opening into a semi-outdoor area in summer with disabled toilets. The third is predominantly for dining or meetings. Serves mostly Cumbrian beers. Unsurprisingly given it's name, the pub is enthusiastically dog-friendly.
