Votes for the Westmorland Pub of the Year were made by 49 members with 1 abstention. This represents about 15% of the total branch membership - an excellent number for a first foray into online inclusion.

The winning pub received a clear majority of the votes with two pubs as joint second. The minority vote was equally divided among the other four.

The branch congratulates the New Union, Kendal as Pub of the Year and Cider Pub of the Year 2020

The Britannia Inn, Elterwater and the Midland Hotel, Appleby are worthy seconds.
